Good morning everyone!

Today's star of the blog is Ada! Thank you for this fabulous photo Ada. I have received other equally fabulous photos too so keep watching to see if yours appears as the main picture of the blog! Please keep sending them to me, if you don't want to star in the photo you can create a picture and send a photo of your message.

I hope you all had a great weekend and a well deserved rest. Happy birthday to Amber for yesterday, we hope you had a lovely celebration at home!

Did anyone log into Chester Zoo's website and see the virtual zoo day on Friday? I saw some and it was great. Did you all manage to keep doing Joe's workouts every day last week? I hope you didn't drop the joey out of your pouch doing the kangaroo jumps like Joe did on Friday! Did you all do great Spidey thwips throwing the webs out of your wrists? Joe was going too fast for me on Friday I was worn out!

Phonics (reading and spelling)

Reception - please do another activity in your phonics booklet.

Year One - please do phonics mat 3 and the sentences.

Year Two - please do the second page (page 3) in your 'Common Exception Words Y2 Activity book' write the sentences in your blue book rather than on the paper in the booklet (I don't think you'll have enough room).

What books have you been reading? I know lots of you have logged into Oxford Owl and have been enjoying reading the stories, well done.

Writing

Today's word of the day is magician.  Can you use the word in a sentence starting with the word 'amazingly'?

Maths

Join the maths party at White Rose Maths Home Learning by clicking on this link https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/.

Choose your year group, watch the Flashback video first and answer the questions before you have a go at the activities. I suggest you do the lessons and if you discover you need more practice at any of the learning you can then do some more afterwards.

Reception - Day 1 'What the ladybird Heard'

Year One - Lesson 1 - Step 6 - Compare capacity

Year Two - Lesson 1 - Step 6 - Recognise a third

You don't need to print the worksheets out, you can write the answers to the questions in your blue books or on a piece of paper.

Have a lovely day, stay home, stay safe and keep learning

Mrs Kemp :)
