Good Morning everyone!

I would love to make you all the main picture for the blog post that I put up here every day.  Email me a photo of yourself showing the message  'Good Morning'! Think how you could do it creatively, the words do not have to be written on paper! Think about the pose you could be in, where (in your house or garden!) you could be, what you could be wearing. The brighter and happier you can make your photo the better!

Today's word of the day is deafening, how many times can you use it today?

Phonics (Reading and Spelling)

Please all go onto https://www.phonicsplay.co.uk today and practise a sound or spelling you find tricky. Everyone please also go onto the tricky words game and train your brains how to spell those tricky words and understand which parts are tricky like we do in school.

Writing

Today Year 1 and Year 2 I would like you to write a recount of your first week at home. Recount the events that have happened but also add some emotion to your recount writing about how you have felt at different times this week. e.g. On Wednesday I felt a little sad because I wasn't seeing my friends and playing with them so I phoned ...... and we had a chat. I felt much happier.  OR  I have loved being at home this week, being with my family and spending so much time outside in the sunshine.

Reception, can you choose just one thing you have done this week that has made you really happy? It might be hard there might be a lot more than one! Decide on one and draw a picture of you doing your favourite thing and write a sentence describing what it is. Remember your finger spaces and use your phonics mat to sound out your words.

Maths

Join the maths party at White Rose Maths Home Learning by clicking on this link https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/.  Choose your year group, watch the video first then have a go at the activities. I suggest you do one of the lessons and then go and do some practical maths ...

Reception - Starting with the story - Making Collections

Year One - Weight and Mass Lessons 3 and 4

Year Two - Fractions Lessons 3, 4 and 5

Don't forget to watch the videos first. You DON'T  need to print the worksheets out, you can simply tell the adult you are working with the answers to the questions.

Have a lovely day and weekend, stay home, stay safe, I'll talk to you again on Monday.

Mrs Kemp :)
