Welcome to Inskip St. Peter's Primary School
Hello everyone, my name is Kate Leyland and on behalf of the children, staff and governors of Inskip St. Peter’s I would like to welcome you and your child to our school website. It is designed to give you a flavour of the vibrancy of our school through the work of our pupils, the quality of teaching and learning experiences we deliver and our Christian vision which shines through in everything we do. We hope that you find it clear, informative and easy to navigate
We are a very small rural primary school with excellent facilities set in spacious grounds, we aim to keep a 'family feel' to our school and value particularly the regular positive comments we receive from visitors about the warm, caring atmosphere which strikes them as soon as they enter our building.
I am very proud to be the headteacher of St Peter’s, a role I've held for over 10 years, during that time we've doubled the number of pupils on role and succeeded in increasing in size from two classes to three. I constantly strive to ensure that the school serves our children and their families to its fullest, we provide a high quality education which enables each pupil to confidently achieve their academic potential and prepare them for the next phase of their education. Our school is alive with positive and impactful experiences for our pupils giving them an insight in to the endless possibilities that open to them as they get older. Along side this we nurture each child in order to develop within them a confidence to embrace whatever comes their way. Enveloping all of this is my relentless commitment to every child and family feeling listened to and part of our caring community where we live out our Christian values of compassion, friendship, forgiveness, thankfulness, truthfulness and respect and flourish in the Christian faith.
All of my staff embody this ethos and recognise our children as unique individuals with specific talents and needs. They work tirelessly to provide a varied and engaging curriculum differentiated according to pupil's needs. You’ll find our classrooms to be hives of activity full of creativity and learning, making Inskip St. Peter’s Primary School a wonderful place indeed for all children.
Do look at our class blog pages on here and I hope that as you view our website you find what you need, however if you would like to know more about our school, you are very welcome to get in touch or come and visit. We all, pupils and staff, enjoy very much talking about and sharing our learning and achievements. Thank you for taking time to explore life at Inskip St. Peter's.
