In our history lessons this half term the children have been idnvestigating the question ‘what is history?’

After looking at things that have happened in thier own lives in the past they began to look at holidays and investigate what holidays in the past were like.

This week Mr Proctor came into school to answer the children’s questions about holidays in the past so that the children could find out about the past from someone who was there. Mr Proctor brought photographs of himself when he was younger and told the children about the types of holidays he enjoyed when he was little. He told the children some funny stories and they really enjoyed finding about the differences between holidays now and then.

These are the questions they asked him …

1. When were you six years old?

2. Where did you go on holiday?

3. How did you get there?

4. What food did you eat?

5. Who did you spend time with?

6. Why did you go on holiday?
