We investigated the question 'What does a seed need to grow?'.

After a good discussion Year 1 and 2 decided what they thought a seed needed in order to grow. In order to test their theories they planted some cress seeds giving them warmth, light and water but also observed what happened when we denied one set of seeds water, one set light and one set warmth.

Their results proved their initial ideas had been correct.
