Lower School (KS1)

Our Year One and Two children made some beautiful cards to give to their families this weekend. They drew some spectacular rabbits following Rob Biddulph the author and illustrator’s tutorial on #drawwithrob. 
 

We’d like to say a HUGE thank you to Mrs Fox, Reagan’s mum and Reagan for bringing five lambs and Reagan’s two pet rabbits Coffee and Toffee to visit us. It was an amazing hands-on experience for the children to learn about caring for animals.

We have been doing some great Easter fun activities in class and at the fantastic Bunny Drive organised by or Friends of Inskip group. Thank you so much to friends who work hard raising money for our school and giving our children lots of fun experiences.

This week we read a great story told through letters as a teacher asks her class to write to her and convince her that they are the best person to take the class’s pet rabbit home for the holidays.

We have been doing lots of maths whilst decorating for Easter this week. The children have sorted eggs into different groups by colour, size, speckles, not speckles and other ways! Year 2 are learning about multiplication and division in maths at the moment. This week they were exploring arrays.

After learning about the tradition of Mothering Sunday we talked about how and why we celebrate our Mums now. The children made their Mums a special card with some lovely messages in them ready to give them on Sunday.
