Lots of fun learning has been happening in Lower School this last few weeks inspired by the weather and our environment we started looking at the changes Autumn brings. We have been reading lots of Percy the Parkkeeper stories and have created a fantastic Percy's Park, shed and inside his house…

Year One have been working out how to count big groups of objects. They were great thinkers and eventually decided to put the objects in groups of 10. 

A magic moment of any teacher's day ... finding two boys engrossed in a good story snuggled up in the book corner! Super reading boys Ted and Isaac. 

Well done Bethan! Bethan completed the Lancashire Library's reading challenge during the holidays. That must be why she has come back to school as such a great reader. As promised she got an extra prize from school as a reward.

Mrs Young brought her new pet Tortoises in today to show the class. We got the opportunity to ask many questions and learn about the care of the tortoises. They are very young and very cute!
