We did think we were being ambitious planting plants so early in the year and that was without knowing that the freezing weather and snow were on their way.

But one thing we hadn’t thought about enough was just how hungry the rabbits living in the fields surrounding our school were and how they thought we had given them a lovely herb garden cafe to visit.  We now know that they think parsley and chives are delicious but that they’re not too bothered about sage,  mint, thyme or tarragon!

So all the children got their creative thinking brains onto the problem and came up with some great ideas (not all of them truly practical). Their ideas created lots of great discussion and problem solving.

They drew their ideas and plans and we’re working on finding a solution. So WATCH OUT rabbits, you might be called Peter, Flopsy, Mopsy or Cotton-Tail or you might not but we are the new Mr McGregors!
