Welcome back after half term, it was lovely to hear all the children's news today.  We have started our new learning for this half term through our topics 'The Farm Shop' in Year 1 and 2 and 'Farms and Growing' in EYFS. 

We began the day reading 'Farmer Duck' by Martin Waddell and then some of 'Mossop's Last Chance' by Michael Morpurgo to enjoy and begin to get ideas for our own story the children will write set on a farm. This afternoon we had a science afternoon starting our learning about plants by looking at the bulbs and shoots we have planted outside and planting our newly bought herbs for our 'farm shop' garden. 

Thank you to Marcus's grandma who kindly gave us a selection of plants for us to plant out in our garden today.
