This week, the children have moved on to exploring and composing their own music.
We have been focusing on the structure of music, looking at rhythm, beats and trying overall to read sheet music. 
Children have been using 'my favourite things' from the sound of music as a basis to explore notes and the structure of how music is written down.

We split into small groups and practiced making different sounds for different beats in music in order to create a piece of music. The children had to opportunity to experiment with many different sounds and types of instrument.
