We have been having a fabulous week exploring colour. We began by learning about the colour wheel and all the children learnt how to mix primary colours to make secondary colours.
We used this fabulous picture book ‘Mixed’ by Aree Chung as a starting point for our learning. The story shows that understanding, love and acceptance make everyone’s lives better which is one of topics we are discussing in our PSHE learning.
A little extra bonus to the activity was for me to notice how far our Reception children have progressed in their fine motor skills. A few couldn’t hold or cut with scissors at the beginning of the year and now they are ‘professionals’ as our lovely Mrs Welsh would say! I am particularly proud of Leah but well done all of you!
