Good morning everyone!

Sophia is today's star of the blog! What a great photo Sophia, thank you for sending it in and starting our day with a smile. 

Ask your parents to check their emails, there should be a surprise waiting for you! Yesterday I recorded a video of me reading you a story and I have sent a link to you to click, watch and enjoy the story. 

New things to look out for on the internet today ... if you enjoy drawing (and I know lots of you do) find Pete Mckee's Cartoon Workshop for beginners on Youtube (remember to stay safe on the internet and only go on youtube when an adult is with you). Please have a look at Teach Your Monster To Read https://www.teachyourmonstertoread.com this is also available as an app. It is a great alternative to Phonics Play and if you don't already use it at home I would recommend it!

Year 2 you already know all the sounds and learning in these games but that doesn't mean you can't have a play on Game 3 and refresh your memories. It will be good for you all to remind yourself of spellings, have a look today and play a game. 

Writing

Today's word of the day is prancing it is a verb (a doing word) and it has the suffix ing on it. Can you write a sentence with the word prancing in it?
