This week we have been enjoying the picture book called ‘Tom’s Magnificent Machines’ by Linda Sarah and Ben Mantle. After doing a variety of creative drawing and writing tasks the children finished the week by designing their own magnificent machines. Then the children created a set of instructions telling a friend how to build their machine. 
 

Year 2 children looked closely at a variety of books that had instructions in them and picked out the features needed in their writing to make it great. They did a great job of writing down clear instructions for their machines.
