In our English, we have been thinking about texts and writing for a purpose. Our first purpose is to entertain with a story. Our second purpose was to build fear and suspense as our stories were horror! To help us with that, we worked together to analyse a horror description. Children worked in pairs to find linguistic features such as adjectives, adverbials, similes and more. They wrote their own responses to the text.

Each group did very well! Great job, Middle School!
