This week, we had our first chance since September to have a try on the ukuleles. Middle school were brilliant listeners and picked lots up very quickly. We began by introducing the musical terminology needed with string instruments, then learning to hold them correctly. 
We learned our first song playing open strings, which went really well!
Because the children were doing so fantastically, we learned our first chord - the C chord!
After that, the children took some time to experiment with the open sounds on the ukulele and start to compose their own song.
