A huge thank you to Mr Proctor for visiting us this afternoon to tell us all about the toys and games he used to play when he was a little boy!
Before he began talking Mr Proctor had us all time travel back 73 years to when he was 7 years old! Once we were back in 1950 then he began showing us the toys he played with.
One thing we noticed is that most of the games and toys were made from recycled objects (forts made from cardboard boxes), bows and arrows made from long twigs, fishing rods, empty jam jars to hold fish and tadpoles in as well as other things. None of Mr Proctor’s toys used electricity, the internet didn’t exist and Mr Proctor and his friends used their imaginations all the time to create lots of fun.
It was so much fun, we really enjoyed listening to you and learnt lots about the past, thank you Mr Proctor.
