In our history lessons we are learning about the past in family life, to help us understand how people lived in the past and learn about changes we are looking at toys, old and new.

Today Mrs Welsh brought in a 103 year old teddy that she was given when she was a little girl. We compared her teddy to a new teddy we have in our classroom and noticed similarities and differences. The main differences we noticed are the materials that have been used to make the bears. The children also had chance to look through Mrs Welsh’s kaleidoscope that she was given when she was 8 years old. The kaleidoscope was one of Mrs Welsh’s favourite toys when she was younger.
