We were so lucky to get some of the brilliant author and illustrator Rob Biddulph’s books last week. We love Rob’s picture books and have some favourites in our classroom already so, knowing his stories and loving his artwork already made it a special treat to have books signed by him! A big thank you to Elaine from Book, Bean and Ice Cream in Kirkham who held an event with Rob and got the books for our children.

After enjoying the stories we went to Rob’s website and found his tutorial #drawwithrob videos on YouTube. Take a look yourself and have a go at home http://www.robbiddulph.com/draw-with-rob . After reading Blue Footed Booby (look at photos of the real birds they are just awesome looking birds!) our book of the week and Blown Away by Rob we had a go at drawing the characters.
 

The children enjoyed the activity so much they have been busy drawing Blue Footed Boobies in their own time. Take a look at these photos, I think you’ll agree with me when I say that their drawings are all absolutely fabulous!
