This week middle school have showed off everything they have learned in the last two weeks of the Place Value unit through some different activities.

Children got into teams to earn points through a series of indoor and outdoor events. 

Inside, children represented numbers as base 10 and as place value counters. Children also showed how they could round numbers to the nearest 10 or 100. 

Outside, children placed numbers on a number line using chalk, as well as creating part-whole models and number sentences. 

Finally, we played a place value game where children placed digits in the correct columns using coloured balls and hoops. 

We had lots of fun whilst learning at the same time!
