We are constantly practicing our times tables in Middle school - and getting better every day!
The children have been reminded that year 4 children will be participating in the national multiplication tables check this June. As a class, we have been preparing by learning and practicing our times tables every day. We have lots of little challenges and games to help us remember them.
It is important that we all know our times tables to the best of our ability; it makes a huge difference in a child's ability to access other maths at a greater depth. If children are confident with at least some of their times tables by the end of year 3, then by the time it comes to the year 4 check we will all do wonderfully!
Please don't be afraid to practice your times tables at home!
You are welcome to log onto TT Rockstars, or try hit the button at home! You can print of multiplication grids, or 100 squares and play battleship, bingo or other games. You could even try and turn your favourite times table into a song.
We are already doing so well at our learning, so let's keep it up middle school!
In our picture we have two fab boys who have completed the times tables grid in the fastest time this week - even faster than Ms Hennelly! What a super team.
