Continuing our science learning about plants the children have been investigating what makes a plant grow and how does it stay healthy by setting up an investigation. 

They tested their theory that a plant needs water, light, the right temperature and soil to be able to grow healthily by planting some cress seeds in pots. One pot had was given all the things they believed the plant needed to be healthy but each of the other pots were deprived of just one of the elements. 

They recorded what their investigation was and then recorded their predictions for the results. 

What makes a plant grow?
