It's that time of year again to participate in the RSPB's garden birdwatch!
Children enjoyed learning about the different kinds of birds that we might potentially see, plus those we probably wouldn't!
Although it was windy and cold, the children managed to spot lots of different birds within the school grounds.

The most common bird was the starling; we saw too many to count using the tall towers and telephone wires to sit on.
We also saw lots of carrion crows in the nearby fields.
We even saw two blue tits coming out of one of our bird boxes!

The class were wonderful at being quiet and walking sensibly to find birds.
Afterwards, we did some more research into birds of prey in the UK.
If you see any, see if you can identify what it is!
