As part of our 'Random Acts of Wildness', the children were to find and identify a wildflower.
Luckily, we have the area of wildflowers growing at school, which gave us a perfect opportunity to get up close and ID the plants.
Identification is not only a great way to get out into nature and learn the names of some of our wild flowers, but it is also fantastic for reading skills as children must identify features quickly and accurately. This also introduces children to another form of Non-Fiction book that they do not usually get to use.
