Over this last half term the children have showed some great progression in their writing skills. They have had many writing opportunities to develop these skills. Our role play area which the children decided should be a post office meant lots of letters, cards, notes and postcards where written. Each child had a ‘postbox’ (you can see the silver paper plate pockets on the wall in the photographs) and every day the post office workers emptied the post box and sorted the post into the children’s post pockets. 

The children have written a recount of the postman’s Visit, a postcard to their favourite fairy tale character from Inskip (linking our geography learning about our local area) and some poetry.
