Magic moments so far this week (and it is only Tuesday) ... 

Ted was the Maths Shark yesterday for his amazing finding the difference by counting on. 

The whole class investigated which foods are more healthy for us to eat and why. We had some interesting discussions about food and learnt that the way food is cooked can affect how healthy it is. Then we sorted thorugh food magazines cutting out pictures of tastey looking food and sorted them into healthy and unhealthy choices.

Year 2 boys amazed me with their fantastic spelling investigation this morning. Yesterday we learnt that sometimes a letter c can make a soft c sound and sound like an s. We only spent 20 minutes looking at and talking about words with a soft c in and then today the boys wrote words they thought may have a soft c in them and practised writing them. We all really enjoyed the activity and I loved listening to them as they bounced ideas off each other. Reggie was the star of the morning as he thought of the word invincible and then wrote it down correctly. You are awsome spellers boys, well done!
