We have been busy drawing, printing and painting to create a collage of a scene from a summer meadow to enter into an art competition. We looked at videos created by Petr Horaceck where he shows us how he created his collage of a summer meadow and read a selection of Petr’s and John Burningham’s picture books. We also looked at some photos of wild flowers that are growing in Mrs Kemp’s friend’s garden for inspiration. 

Take a look at these photos showing a snapshot of our process (it’s quite tricky teaching and taking part in the art as well as taking photos so not every process is recorded!). 

I think the end results are beautiful but I am biased!
