All week the children have been investigating on our ‘curiosity table’. They have been learning about trees, how they grow, their seeds and the weather by studying conkers and acorns.

They’ve been looking closely at patterns and colours in the squashes, conkers, acorns and leaves outside. We’ve had fun being storytellers. One group decided that the squirrels were coming to steal the acorns and conkers so the children made dens to hide the conkers and wrote messages and secret symbols telling the squirrels to “STOP” and “don’t come near”!

Lots of great cross curricular learning and so much joy!
