Our topic this half term is called Buckets and Spades and we are going to do lots of fun learning linked to the seaside. This first week we have begun by reading stories linked to the seaside, we started with some old favourites - The Lighthouse Keeper stories by Rhonda and David Armitage. 

We also began thinking about how people used to holiday in the past and learnt that lots of people had holidays at the seaside. We watched some films called Magic Grandad which feature a brother and sister who travel back in time to learn about the past, did some activities and looked at a selection of photos. The children looked closely at the photos comparing them and talking about what they could see before putting them in chronological order.
