Upper School thoroughly enjoyed exploring pieces produced by our new artist of focus: Joan Miro.

The children observed closely and discussed various pieces, making comparisons between them. The children listened to one another and shared their opinions brilliantly.

We enjoyed the ‘quick capture and copy’ game where we picked out a segment from the art to quickly recreate in our sketchbooks. We were then timed to capture the colours too.

We also explored the shapes and lines in the form of a ‘Joan Miro’ themed alphabet. This gave us the chance to practise some of the abstract shapes but for it to carry our own meaning.

Well done Upper School!
