Today the children in Y5/6 explored how the early followers of Jesus put their faith into action. We read three stories from the Acts of the Apostles which showed different ways in which they showed their faith in God. The children discussed these events and put them into their own role plays and freeze frames showing the important actions shown by the followers. We then focused on the letters of Paul and his instructions to the new Christians around the world. The class made their own posters describing these instructions using modern illustrations and words. Claire and Bethan thought carefully about the words of Paul and how difficult some of his instructions were such as blessing those who hurt you and forgiving those who do you harm.
