Middle school took part in a challenge that used their science and their DT knowledge - they had to protect an egg from an 8 foot drop!

They were told to plan out as a team what they would do to protect their egg and then they were given materials and tape to create something.

Children used their science knowledge of air resistance and drag to help them create a design that would slow down their egg before it hit the ground. Children also used their DT knowledge of construction to assure that the egg had a good structure to sit inside that would protect them. 

All of the teams did incredibly well and all of their eggs survived!
