This afternoon, Upper School had a visit from Prags who came to talk to us about being a Hindu. She told us all about her very interesting life and some of the important traditions of being part of a Hindu community/family. The children were fascinated by her stories and particularly about her arranged marriage. Prags taught us about Hindu values and we could see how they are similar to our Christian values-especially showing respect to one another.
Prags taught us some Indian dance moves and then we finished the afternoon by making a rangoli pattern which we found out are made by families and communities during the Hindu festival, Diwali to decorate homes.
Thank you to Prags for coming into school and sharing her religion with us. We learnt a lot!
