Fire Officers from Lancashire Fire and Rescue came to visit Year 6 earlier this week. They spoke to us about rules of the road including acts of law such as those around seat belts and booster seats, they also emphasised the need for visibility when out and about on the road whether as a pedestrian or bike rider, we learnt about the laws around electric scooters and watched a very impactful video using a watermelon to demonstrate why it is vital to wear a bike helmet, we also thought about how we'd never take our phone out without a case, so we should think of wearing a helmet whlist bike riding as exactly the same. Our pupils were perfectly behaved, listened impeccably and asked really great questions.
