The children have thoroughly enjoyed experimenting with metallic wax crayons and Brusho crystal colours. They drew the natural objects, leaves, that they had studied last week in metallic wax crayons using the skills they have learnt in previous weeks.

This week I introduced them to wax resist techniques using the the vibrant autumnal colours of the Brusho watercolour paint. The children explored line and shape and took creative risks as they painted. It was so lovely to watch their enjoyment as they saw the effects the watercolours made.

During and after the activity the children had lots of opportunities to reflect, share and discuss their art. They talked about their successes, failures and about what they would do next time.
