This week children from year 2 got a chance to join middle school for a taster day alongside our wonderful year 3s. 
We did plenty of brilliant activities throughout the day.

Our lovely year 2s were keen to show off their skills with maths and English. We used our maths knowledge in an 'escape room' game to break the code and leave the forest. Next, we used pictures to come up with our own wonderful story starters and scenarios. 
In the afternoon, we tried some DT and music. 
Children learned about hedgehogs and what they need, then designed and tried to create their own hedgehog house out on the field!
We also had a try with the ukuleles, managing to learn a C chord already!

Year 2s did very well and the Year 3s were brilliant as always!
