This week has been very exciting for middle school as we have had a chance to see the baby oyster catchers!
We have counted three chicks that have been sleeping just outside of our window in the lower school play area.
Each morning we have loved looking out for them and checking if they are okay. Ms Hennelly and Mrs Kemp have even seen the adults feeding the babies a worm!
Last week, we found their eggshell, so we know they must be very young!
This has inspired a small team of children to work together and write a newspaper article about the chicks and about the oyster catchers that come here every year. Super work!
