Children have been introduced to fractions this week, using practical methods to understand how numbers and shapes can be split into fractions. Children particularly enjoyed using whiteboards to draw fractions out and splitting amounts using counters. 
Year 4s soon learned that they needed to use their knowledge of decimals from last week to be able to split some numbers up, such as 7! 
Children have been able to use their times tables knowledge to help them with fractions. 
All of the children have done fantastic work!
