For the past few weeks the children have been looking at plants in science. We learned about all of the key things that plants need to grow and thrive and decided to set up an experiment to test what would happen if plants did not have some of these things.
This week we checked on our results -

Children noticed that the plant that was kept in the darkness was getting pale and the flower was really wilting!
The plant that was in too much water seemed to be wilting, but wasn't doing too badly!
The plant with no air was wilting, but was still alive and bright.
The plant with no water was starting to get crispy and the soil was extremely dry and hard.

Children made their own predictions about what they think will happen by this time next week if the plants continue how they are doing now.
