In maths this week, children have been learning about data handling. We have explored tally charts, bar charts, tables and pictograms. However, to be able to create our data handling charts and tables we required some data in the first place!
We decided to head outside to participate in a bird watch and record which birds we found on our school field. Children utilised their new ID book skills to help them and their new table and tally skills to note their findings.
We learned that school is very popular with Carrion Crows and Wood Pigeons - however we were blessed by seeing a Jay, too!
