Middle School has decided to participate in The Wildlife Trust's '30 Days Wild' challenge.
This means that children will have lots of lovely outdoorsy activities to complete that will help bring them closer to the nature and wildlife around them.
Although the challenge starts on the 1st June, we have decided to start a little early as we have the half term next week.
We started off by doing some of our 'Random Acts of Wildness' - these are small activities that can be completed each day (or twice in one day - like we did!) designed to bring you closer to nature.

Our first 'Random Act of Wildness' was to go on a barefoot walk. The children really enjoyed taking their shoes off and feeling the ground between their toes! They tried to feel all sorts of surfaces and had a try at different activities with their shoes off.
We ended up having so many fantastic describing words by the end that I may just have to make this into an English Lesson one day!

I will be uploading three more blog posts throughout the half term with three more challenges (to take us up to date for when we return). If your child would like to play along, please take a photograph of their Random Act of Wildness and I will be able to tick off their name on their challenge sheet.
