Wow what a busy, fun filled week we have had for our first week back! It has been fantastic to be back together, we have all really enjoyed having a full and busy classroom again.

Our learning this week has been centred around books and stories as we have belatedly celebrated World Book day, every day, this week! We have also been settling back into school life and finding out what the children have been doing at home during lockdown.  We have learnt about the meaning of Mothering Sunday and made some surprises for our mums but I'll save those photos for another blog post tomorrow so that I don't spoil any surprises!

I have read the children three new stories every day and they have done some activities around two of them, the first is Rabunzel by Gareth P Jones and Loretta Schauer about a brilliant karate loving rabbit with extremely long ears! The second book Tom's Magnificent Machines by Ben Mantle and Linda Sarah is a beautifully illustrated book about a son and dad who create magnificent machines.

Take a look at these photos to see the great learning that has been happening ...
