Year 2 had a maths, science and art afternoon today. Following our work looking at seasons and changes in our environment we went for a leaf hunt on our school grounds. This led to lots of great discussion comparing the fallen leaves we had found noticing patterns, colours and shapes. We thought scientifically why these changes had occured. 

Back in the classroom we learnt about symmetry and the boys really impressed me with their concentration and attention to detail as they cut a leaf in half and then drew the other half of the leaf on a piece of paper. They enjoyed the art activity so much they really didnt want to stop!
