Wow, what a fabulous time we have had this morning! The Reception children planted some seed potatoes in March this year in the tyres in our outdoor learning area. The children have cared for the plants and today had the exciting job of digging up the plants to harvest the potatoes they have grown.

The children lined the potatoes up and talked about size and shape, counted in twos and counted all the potatoes to discover there were 86 in total!

After all the fun of digging the potatoes up we took them to Mrs Billington who very kindly washed and cooked our potatoes for us to eat with our dinner at lunchtime. They were delicious!
