We're quietly excited! Every year over the past 5 years two Oyster Catchers have nested at our school. The first year they laid their eggs in the sand bags by the basket ball hoops, but each year after that they've chosen the much quieter place of the flat roof above our school kitchen. Today Tommy and Erin spotted them for the first time this year, if you look closely at our zoomed in photograph you'll see them too! They had landed in the farmer's field next to our school field, we are hoping that we will again be able to watch them nesting and laying eggs and have the delight of observing a baby Oyster Catcher fledge. We will keep you updated!
