In our Science lesson today, the Upper School children investigated what happens to their heart rates during and after exercise. They enjoyed finding their pulse in different ways and taking measurements before and after exercise. The results showed them very clearly that their hearts needed to pump more blood around their bodies whilst they exercised and that if their heart rate went down very quickly after they stopped moving that their hearts were healthy! Some children also produced a line graph of their results - a very useful maths skill! (See Sian’s graph in the gallery)
